A unit under "Children Welfare Project " has been started by Ramakrishna Mission , Jammu. Children from poor and needy  family will be a given 5 kg pulses every month ( Tur dal, Mung dal,  Udad dal, Rajmah and black gram) so they can have protein in their meals. They will be also given 1 liter edible oil, Salt,  Chilly and turmeric powder every month. Every Sunday these children will be taught Stotra chanting, Bhajans,  value education,  sports etc. Every Sunday they will be given Hygienic items, breakfast and fruits. This is year long activity.
